    Day 1 Departure
    This afternoon tour members will depart for Paris, France.

    Day 2 Paris
    This morning we arrive in Paris. We will be met by our private coach, and transferred to the city of Paris. Our French chef
    will welcome us at the hotel.  We will have an orientation tour of Paris with a local guide, during which we will see the Eiffel
    Tower, the Champs Elyssés, the Arc de Triomphe, the Cathedral of Notre Dame and more. There will also be free time in
    the afternoon for independent sightseeing and shopping.
    This evening there will be a drinks party. Our French chef will welcome the group and outline the wonderful experiences we
    will have during the tour.

    Day 3 Paris
    This morning our French chef will take the group to one of the Sunday Markets.    He will guide the group around the market,
    pointing out the best fresh produce and tasty unusual foods. There will be plenty of time to sample the local fare. We will then
    have lunch at a stunning Parisian brasserie. A most enjoyable day! BL

    Day 4 Paris
    This morning we visit the Place de la Madeleine and the world-renowned food and wine stores, Hédiard, Fauchon and
    Nicolas. Here we will find the rare, the exotic and the best.   Fauchon is famous for gastronomic fare that includes foie gras,
    charcuterie, cheese and wine.       Our French chef will guide the group around these fascinating and historic treasure-houses
    of gastronomy. We will have an included lunch at one of Paris’s best restaurants. BL

    Day 5 Paris
    The day will be free to explore the city of Paris. Why not visit the Louvre, climb the Eiffel Tower, or just enjoy the ambience
    of Paris. B

    Day 6 Reims
    This morning we depart Paris and travel to the town of Meaux, known for famous dairy pastures that produce Brie. We stop
    here and taste local cheeses. We continue on to the city of Reims, capital of the Champagne region and home of the great
    cathedral where the kings of France were traditionally crowned.
    With Epernay, Reims is the centre of champagne production; this and modern industry are the mostimportant economic
    activities of the city. B

    Day 7 Reims
    This morning, our French chef will take us with a local guide on a tour of Reims. We will see the historic old town and the
    cathedral of Notre Dame. The rest of the day will be free for individual exploration. B

    Day 8 Reims
    Today we will visit one of the famous Champagne houses for a tasting and have a tour of their facilities.
    We will then have a special, included gourmet luncheon. A highlight of our stay in the region. BL

    Day 9 Strasbourg
    This morning we depart Reims and travel to Nancy for lunch. We then continue on to the city of Strasbourg. The intellectual
    and economic capital of the Alsace region, Strasbourg is now home to part of the government of the European Union, as well
    as an historic university where Goethe studied, and a magnificent cathedral. We will spend two nights in this bustling city. B

    Day 10 Strasbourg
    This morning we will have a walking tour of Strasbourg with a local guide. We will visit the old town that nestles around the
    cathedral, on an island formed by the two arms of the River Ill. We will see La PetiteFrance, one of the best-preserved areas
    of the old town, with houses by a canal dating from the Alsatian Renaissance (16th-17th century). We will enjoy an included
    lunch at a wonderful restaurant in the city today.

    Day 11 Colmar
    Today we travel south to Colmar. We travel along part of the route de vins, stopping at the town of Riquewihr, a perfectly
    preserved little Alsatian town in the heart of the wine-growing region. We visit a winery to sample the local Riesling that the
    region is famous for. We will have an included lunch of typical Alsatian fare. We then continue on to the city of Colmar. BL

    Day 12 Colmar
    Colmar, situated at the heart of the Alsatian vineyards, has great appeal and is typical of the Alsatian character, its streets
    lined with picturesque houses, adorned with carvings and a wealth of ornamentation. This morning we have a walking tour of
    the historic centre of the city. We see the beautiful and well preserved Renaissance buildings, Petit Venice, the former tanners
    quarter along the canal, which contains beautifully restored, tall, narrow timber-framed houses. We visit the market where our
    French chef will guide us through the fresh Alsatian produce and specialities of the region.

    Day 13 Colmar
    Today we travel to the village of Illhaeusern. A highlight of the tour will be lunch at L’Auberge de l’Ill, founded in 1878 and a
    three-Michelin starred restaurant since 1967, it is one of the best restaurants in France. BL

    Day 14 Lyon
    Today we travel from Colmar to the town of Beaune, in the heart of the Burgundian vineyards, for lunch. We visit a winery,
    before continuing on to Lyon, the second largest city in France. Lyon was founded by the Celts and expanded by the
    Romans more than 2000 years ago. Located on the confluence of the rivers Rhone and Saone, the city occupies an important
    strategic position. Silk weaving was once the city’s most important industry and it is now known for fine gastronomy. B

    Day 15 Lyon
    Today we have a cooking demonstration in the area around Lyon. Our French chef will show you some of the interesting and
    tasty specialities of the region. We will enjoy a delicious regional meal. BL

    Day 16 Lyon
    This morning our French chef will take us to the market in Lyon. We will see the fantastic fresh produce from this region of
    France. Our French chef will advise on some of the most interesting produce and products available and guide the group
    through the market.      We will also have a walking tour of the city, where we will see the medieval town with its fine
    examples of old merchant town houses. The rest of the day will be free to explore Lyon. B

    Day 17 Lyon
    Today will be free for individual exploration of Lyon, shopping and relaxing. In the evening, we will have an included farewell
    dinner to commemorate our wonderful tour of France with our French chef. It will be at well-known chef Paul Bocuse’s
    brasserie. BD

    Day 18 Departure
    This morning we are transferred to the airport for our flight to Paris, and then back to your country.
