    Though Accra is best known for a lively nightlife, it's by no means
    limited to the capital city. Everywhere in Ghana people enjoy getting
    together for a pint or two, to exchange news and perhaps to dance the
    night away. In Ghana you'll find everything from upscale discos and neighborhood pubs - to intimate jazz bars and seaside
    cabarets. And you're never very far from a cold beer no matter where you go in the country.

    Tour:
    Day 1  (Sun)                                             
    AKWAABA-WELCOME
    Arrive in Accra, Ghana. Transfer from airport to your hotel. Welcome drink and orientation. Dinner and overnight at your Hotel
    in Accra

    Day 2  (Mon)                         
    ACCRA CITY TOUR
    After breakfast, depart for a sightseeing tour of Accra. You will drive through the administrative and economic districts of
    Accra, Capital of Ghana. It is a 128-year-old city that has a blend of colonial and modern architecture. You will visit the W. E.
    B. Dubois Center for Pan African Culture, Independence/ Black Star Square and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. After
    your lunch, visit the University of Ghana at Legon, the first university to be built in the country, where you will be given a
    lecture on African culture.
    Rest of the afternoon will be spent at the Arts Center where you will have an opportunity to use your bargaining skills as you
    shop for artifacts from Ghana and West Africa.
    Dinner and overnight at Hotel, Accra.

    Day 3  (Tue)                       
    LEISURE TIME / EXPLORE CITY
    Breakfast at hotel.
    **Optional Add-on to visit Akosombo Cruise; lunch can be bought on board the boat.
    Overnight at hotel in Accra.

    Day 4  (Wed)                        
    LEISURE TIME / EXPLORE CITY
    Breakfast at Hotel.
    ** Optional Add-on to visit Ada Beach; lunch can be bought at the beach front.  
    Overnight at hotel in Accra.

    Day 5  (Thur)             
    CASTLE TOUR / KAKUM NATIONAL PARK
    Depart for a drive to the Central Region to tour the infamous Forts, Castles and Slave Dungeons of Ghana.
    History will unfold the story of the slave trade which the impact is still felt beyond the shores of Africa today. Visit one of
    Ghana’s renowned Slave Castles the Cape Coast Castle built by the Swedes in 1653 and was later taken over by the
    British. This castle also houses the West African Historical Museum established by the Smithsonian Institute in collaboration
    with the Ghanaian Government in 1994.  After lunch, visit Kakum National Park, one of West Africa’s surviving tropical rain
    forests. Extending over 360sq km, Kakum is the home to over 40 large mammals and 400 bird species as well as many
    species of butterflies, flora and fauna. The most popular attraction is the Canopy walkway which is made up of seven bridges
    extending 330m, hanging 30m (100ft) above the forest floor.  Choose between a 2 km nature walk through this forest to
    discover the wide variety of exotic floral species and the medicinal values they offer or take a walk on the canopy walkway.
    Drive to Takoradi to overnight at your hotel on the Busua Beach.

    Day 6 (Fri)                                           
    BUSUA BEACH RESORT
    Breakfast at hotel.  Spend the remainder of the day engaging in beach activities.
    Overnight at Busua Beach Resort.

    Day 7 (Sat)                                              
    BUSUA BEACH RESORT
    Breakfast at hotel.  Spend the remainder of the day engaging in beach activities.  
    Overnight at Busua Beach Resort.

    Day 8 (Sun)                             
    BUSUA - ACCRA
    After lunch, check out and depart for a scenic drive to Accra. Check into your hotel and have lunch. After lunch, spend the
    remainder of the day at leisure soaking up the African sun or pack in preparation towards
    your journey back home.
    Overnight at hotel in Accra.

    Day 9  (Mon)                       
    DAY AT LEISURE AT ACCRA
    Breakfast at hotel.  Spend the remainder of the day engaging in beach activities.   Depart for Farewell
    Dinner and return to hotel for overnight in Accra.

    Day 10    (Tue)                                  
    FAREWELL / DEPARTURE
    Day at Leisure and last minute shopping. Transfer to airport for check-in. Final departure back home.

    **OPTIONAL ADD-ON DAY TOURS

    Akosombo Cruise: Depart to Akosombo Port to cruise on the largest man-made lake in the world. Aboard the “Dodi Princess”
    you will dance to the sweet sounds of live high life music played by the cruise boat resident band. Enjoy the calm of the lake
    and bask in the beauty of the mountain scenery and surrounding.
    Ada Beach: Depart for a scenic drive to Ada on the Eastern fringes of the Greater Accra Region.  Visit the village of Azizanya
    on the estuary of the Volta River. The Elders of the village will take you through their fishing culture and explain how they are
    able to navigate the estuary which has an under current of over seven knots.  
    Spend the remainder of the day engaging in any of the following: canoing, jet skiing, pedallo, or a range of water sports on the
    Volta River or simply relax and enjoy the view. (Rates for water sports are not included in package price).
